Treatment Options for Myelodysplastic Syndromes
Treatment for High-Risk Patients with Myelodysplastic Syndromes
Younger patients at high risk for myelodysplastic syndromes (MDS) may be candidates for allogeneic stem cell transplantation. Other treatments for high-risk MDS include 5-azacytidine and decitabine. Because there is no single therapy that is reproducibly curative, clinical trials are usually recommended in most patients with high-risk MDS.
