Quality of Life Issues in Ankylosing Spondylitis
Side-Effects of Medications for Ankylosing Spondylitis
A study conducted in Britain indicated that between 30 and 40% of patients with ankylosing spondylitis (AS) stop taking medications due to undesirable side-effects or the patient's perception that the medications are not working (lack of efficacy). These medications included indomethacin, naproxen, piroxicam, and diclofenac, among others.
