Treatment Options for Meniere's Disease
Treatments for Tinnitus in Meniere's Disease
There are several treatment modalities that may be used in an attempt to cope with tinnitus. These include:
- Tinnitus Retraining Therapy (TRT) - conditioning the patient to the tinnitus through use of masking devices that mask the tones of tinnitus
- Devices for electrical stimulation - involves small electrical currents outside the ear
- Cochlear implantation may be considered for patients who have lost all or most of their hearing in the affected ear.
